2017 Director Election
Are you interested in taking a more active role with the Summerland Credit Union? If so, we encourage you to submit your nomination papers for the 2017 Director Election. Members will vote to fill three three-year terms and one one-year term. To be eligible for the board of directors, you must be a member of the credit union in good standing and be 19 years of age or older. You can pick up your nomination papers (Director's Handbook) beginning Monday, January 16 at the credit union. Nominations close February 18, 2017.

January Business After Business
Meet up with other business owners in the community at the Summerland Chamber's first Business After Business of 2017. It's happening Tuesday, January 17 at Main Street Yoga (10120 Main Street) from 5 - 7pm.
Christmas Tree Disposal
Want an easy and environmentally-friendly way to dispose of your Christmas tree? With a donation to the Summerland Dry Grad Class of 2017, the Summerland Fire Department and grad students will pick up your Christmas tree, chip it and compost it. Pick up dates are Sunday, Jan 8 and Sunday, January 15. Call the fire department at 250-404-4087 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Film & Conversation Series
The Summerland Healthy Community Initiative invites you to its "Film & Conversation Series." Each month the SHCI will feature a different film on topics ranging from mental health to the environment. The films will be followed by a community discussion with guest panelists, and locally-sourced refreshments. Admission is free. Final film night: January 24 at Centre Stage Theatre. Doors at 6pm.
